Disable Altimeter and floor count

Is there any way to disable counting floors? Today, I was in a hospital & my Vivoactive 3 counted 7 floors up and 4 down. There's only a main floor. It's not the first time it's done this. The hole for the altimeter is clean. I wipe down my watch daily.

Hello! There could be a few reasons why the watch counted floors, if there has been a significant change in weather such as a storm or a strong high pressure system may trigger excessive credit. It could also do this just by walking into a warm building on a cold day, or near the exit doors. There is not a way to disable counting floors, but you can turn off the "Goal Alerts" to stop receiving these alerts on the watch and/or hide the "Floors climbed" card from your Garmin Connect by going to "Edit my day" down at the bottom of the page.

  • Thanks. I just find it  weird that it'll count floors even when watch it under jacket. I know when I get in the car, it'll count floors. That is the only thing I dislike about my Garmin. The Altimeter. FitBits was iffy too. It usually didn't count. Oh well. I'll turn off goal.
