Cardio profile without lap

Dear all,

when I record a Cardio profile activity I enter the next lap by pushing the lower button. The laps are listed in the detailed view on the watch Garmin Venu accordingly.

But I am missing the laps in the app Garmin Connect and the website. Here everything is summarized in one lap.

Is this on purpose or a bug?

  • Seems to be an issue for that past several months - "Cardio" activity is not showing laps anymore

I would suggest reporting this directly to Garmin Support.

  • Yes, there are other similar threads here:

    Laps on activity "cardio"

No exercise list in the Cardio training summary

Unfortunately without any solution or message from Garmin support team members here.

  • I don't think this issue is specific to the Venu, It's the way the activity is processed by Garmin Connect, since it's happening on a variety of Garmin devices.

I don't normally look at "laps" for a cardio activity, but I do press the lap button to signify the end of a set. Afterwards, the activity gets uploaded to Connect as "Gym & Fitness Equipment / Cardio" and no laps are listed. However, if I change the activity to just "Gym & Fitness Equipment (without the sub-category cardio)," Then I do see the laps.

Although Garmin Staff do occasionally reply, this is more of a user-to-user forum. I would suggest reporting this directly to Garmin Support.

  • Hi all,

I got in contact with the Garmin support. They mentioned that Cardio profile actually stores "sets" in Garmin Connect and not "laps". So there is a mismatch between Garmin Connect Web/App (which knows sets in Cardio profile) and Garmin Venu (which knows Laps in Cardio profile).

Garmin support confirmed my observation. They where able to reproduce it and forwarded it to developers.

Meanwhile I recorded a Cardio session today and I see also the laps in Garmin Connect Web and App successfully listed. So now they are laps on both, Garmin Venu (watch) and Garmin Connect App/Web (cloud).
