Venu SW 4.90 is now live

This update can be downloaded with Garmin Express or automatically with Garmin Connect Mobile (pending rollout). 

Change Log:

  • Improved WIFI connectivity and status messages
  • Fixed an issue with iOS messages repeatedly being displayed
  • Made improvements to broadcasting heart rate
  • Fixed an issue to ensure GPS firmware updates are downloaded
  • Fixed an issue where Connect IQ data fields could impact battery life
  • Fixed an issue where Connect IQ watch faces could impact battery life
  • Fixed an issue where pages are not displayed for the last golf widget
  • Made general improvements to stability

    I have successfully installed this new version but it seems that I lost all the watch faces I have installed and more importantly all the data since my last sync.

    Not a big issue as I sync almost daily and it was about time to clean  up the watch faces but

    nonetheless it is important to know just in case it happens to you

    I just installed this update, IQ watch faces currently works really fast as the built in ones. finally one of the biggest problems with venu is solved.

    Is there any plans to make the running dynamics pod compatible with the venu?

    After this update my Vene does not see half of available WiFi networks including my own

    After installing the update, battery life has shortened. Especially, battery usage during sleep seems to have significantly increased (more than 15% usage after one night). Have got pulseOX switched on during night. Before update battery usage after one night was only about 10%

    Good update. Battery now lasts longer.

    A great update that makes the Venu much more reliable: watch faces (incl. Connect IQ ones) load quicker and connection to GPS signal is faster.

    Still to improve:

    > Garmin METEO widget not reliable: at least avg 3 to 4 degrees Celsius difference compared to reality (Belgium, Herve). Please also add the city name as when you are driving from point A to point B with your car, you don't know for which location it is displaying the meteo (point A or point B or in-between?). Nice to haves: air quality index and UV index.

    Hooray! This update fixed the GPS issue I was having since one or two updates ago. Thank you! No more CPE expired.
