Garmin weather in Venu X1 exremely incorrect wind data

For the past two weeks, most of the southern Finland has been in high pressure area with practically no wind (and due to that extreme electricity prices). Each day the weather app in Garmin shows wind speeds that are 10 meters per second and up. In reality, the maximum we have in gusts are 3-4 meters per second.

The temperatures seem to be ok, it's just the wind speed.

Attaching a screenshot from Garmin wind map, showing approx 10 meters per second wind for today (1st feb)

.

Please someone at Garmin, get the wind data fixed.

This is the actual wind data from today:

  • The same continues. Garmin weather predicts -16c, 15m/s north wind at 9am. While reality is 4m/s. That is a _HUGE_ difference. It appears to me as the wind data has stuck to same values for over two weeks now.

  • The weather shown on your Garmin device will come from the nearest official weather station, which is often a local airport. Because of this, the weather data may be different from what you see on other apps or online. You can learn more about that here. If the weather data doesn't appear to be updating at all, we recommend trying the troubleshooting listed in that linked FAQ.
