Hello,
navigation on Garmin watches works great and is very helpful, but I am missing one practical feature – a clear indication of how many kilometers remain to the destination.
Currently, the watch shows the next turn, which is excellent. If the only thing left ahead is the destination, a checkered flag appears, but during the navigation there is no overall remaining distance displayed.
It would be very useful if, throughout the navigation, the remaining kilometers to the destination could also be shown (for example inside a small flag icon) – similar to the example image I attached.
I know that theoretically it is possible to start an activity and set a distance goal that matches the route length, but for an ordinary user this is unnecessarily complicated. When I am just walking around the city sightseeing or riding a bike recreationally, I don’t want to measure an activity – I just want to have a simple piece of information about how far the destination still is.
I believe this small addition would greatly improve the navigation experience and be useful for many users.
