I did mine via Garmin Express - but at least there is no difference getting via that or via the phone.
It is a file transfer and execution on the watch after.
For me no boot loop.
Hello All -
I apologize for this disruption. If you are experiencing this, please contact Garmin Support in your region. It is possible that your device will need to be exchanged, and exchanges cannot…
Hi Tracy,
I have installed the 12.74 update and now I’m stuck with worse rebooting. Instead of just in activities the watch is crashing with scrolling or opening menu items. I have videoed the issue and the time stamps show each episode is separated by minutes. I think you guys need to compensate the patient customers as I now have a useless wrist band. I have messenger accounts and other Garmin devices and am considering moving to a completely different platform based on this experience.
Got my replacement today, first thing I did was the firmware update. No issues so far, running for 12 hours now without restarts.
Brilliant thanks for the update. I ended up getting a refund from Amazon in the end, but will likely repurchase once the updates stabilise. So good to know things are improving
I had the same problem with my Venu X1, keeps rebooting during an activity. No respons from Garmin Support, so I called my local seller and received a replacement. I did not have any reboots on this new device, BUT during two of my activities now, suddenly (after 30 minutes) the heart rate sensor fails (keeps showing 80 bpm) and cadance and vertical ratio is not registering anything at all. It looks like the software can not deal with a workout and bluetooth connection or something like that. Not something to expect from such an expensive watch.
