Garmin VENU X1 problems in strength mode (rep count)

Just got my X1 and used to record push-ups today. It was way off. I would do sets of 20 reps, but the X1 said reps were between 40-50 every time. Is there a fix for this?

Not so far. But I think in a year or two everything is going to be fixed - so they say.

Well apparently things with stationary wrist, like push-ups, are very difficult to track. Link below to their support page on that.

I have a new Fenix 8 (just sold X1 one week ago -could not stand the errors) and it works every time. I do 20 pushups it counts 20. I use Pushup hero to track it. But was reading that VENU watches do not count reps good, the have some problems. (did not know that before buying)

So far the comfort and lightweight of the thin X1 are still worth it for me. It's easy to adjust rep count, what other errors did you have?

I few programs will not adapt to X1 due to the resolution. (talked to developers),. My Hear rate a few times a week stopped measuring and froze. I had to restart the watch every time. And battery life was up and down, Sometimes made it 6 days,  sometimes max 3. And This was the tipping point. Fenix 8 amoled lasts me now ......well I had it a week and still 35% now. no charging .

Venu X1 800 eur / Fenix 8 AMOLED sapphire 914 eur. - No so mush difference.

And believe me, If Honor, Amazfit, Oneplus, Huawei would give me a real edge LED light I would jump the ship in a second. But until then....
