Changing data fields on watchface

Just got my Venu X1 and liking if so far. But cannot for the life of me figure out how to change data fields on the watch faces. I get to where the data field turns green with little up and down arrows and it says what the current setting is at the bottom of the screen but can’t get it to change. The manual was no help so I’m hoping someone on here can lend me a hand.

Once you have highlighted the data field in green that you want to change, swipe up or down and you should see the setting change, as indicated at the bottom of the screen. Sometimes, the change is indicated…

Once you have highlighted the data field in green that you want to change, swipe up or down and you should see the setting change, as indicated at the bottom of the screen. Sometimes, the change is indicated at the top of the screen, so be aware of that as well. Hope this helps.

in addition to PaulElliot's answer, the available data fields do not "loop" so if it won't swipe up, try swiping down or vice versa

Thanks. For some reason on my watch I have to do a sort of diagonal swipe in order to get to work.
