There need to be more brightness options

Just to put this in it's own question.

There are 3 brightness options in Activity/Sleep and Regular on the watch itself.

In Garmin Connect - Sleep has 4 brightness options which includes "Ultra Low"

IMHO - there needs to be a 5th option - for instance called "Dim" that is even lower than Ultra Low

I currently have the screen set to "off" unless I tap it because every display option is too bright and drains battery too rapidly.

  • Yes that one, that looks just like snapshot.

There's an always on display section at the way bottom, maybe under advanced options, but if you select the reduced layout you get a much dimmer setting on AOD than you normally can through the watches faces. It translates to better battery life

  • Thanks. Just realised, that (according to the description in the IQ Store) the all star watchfaces are remastered default watchfaces with added costumization.
I consider this almost rude: Charging money for a more costumizable watchface for an already quite expensive watch…

  • Garmin All Stars Venu X1 the one that looks just like snapshot.

There's an always on display section at the way bottom, maybe under advanced options, but if you select the reduced layout you get a much dimmer setting on AOD than you normally can through the watches faces. It translates to better battery life

  • in the new beta, they changed the brightness of the display. There are still 3 levels of brightness to choose from, but the darkest is now darker
in AOD, they also add an option to deactivate the "second" display, resulting on more battery

I can now get 4 to 5 days in AOD mode with the standard watch face

  • Thanks for updating!  I will check it out, though I have gotten used to the paid watch face, I think having the options on the standard one may work out better, depending on how the data is displayed.  But ~4-5 days AOD is the best I think you can get out of the watch, so that's perfect.

  • : I am not sure if you are the the right person to address this to, but can you perhaps give some insight here?

Shouldn't we have hopes for more brightness options?

It would indeed be very nice to add these, as it would add a lot of value to the watch.

Sorry if this topic is wrong with you but I don't know where to direct it otherwise.

    Cheers!
