Venu Sq2 does not track distance while cycling or running, but does track speed

My Venu Sq2 does not track the distance while I'm recording a cycling or running activity. However, it does track my actual speed (no other sensors connected). What can I do to fix this?

    Hello!

    Has this been resolved? If not, did  the GPS connect on the activities in question? 

    May I look at your Garmin Connect account? are their particular activities with this issue that you can point me towards?
