Venu Sq isn't updating

My Venu Sq was awesome until a few weeks ago when it stopped syncing. I deleted the device and reconnected, and now nothing works right. The weather is gone even though I added the weather api in the watch face in the settings. Also the heart rate isn't working and it always says OLD INF on the top. Anyone have any ideas? Maybe it's just broken? ALL of this was working a few weeks ago. I also downloaded garmin express to see if it needed an update. It is up to date.

 

  • Hi , I'm also having some issues. The battery drains a lot , and it was fine 1 week ago . Let's wait if we are not the only ones with this problems

  • Hi, I  had the same problem about 6 months ago. Battery would drain in 6 hours. Tried restarting everything. Worked on and off for about a week then died completely. Was 18 months old. I have bought a Venu sq 2. Not sure that was a good choice. Having trouble with vo2 max not updating (as others are having trouble with), also doesn't always register my running activities.

  • My Venu SQ 2 is syncing fine. I'm running a very simple display mode and no add-on apps. I would try changing some of your setup to see if something is conflicting out preventing other functions from running.

     The developer of my watch face said to not shut down the connect app and the connect IQ app. He said it wasn't an ideal solution, but it has been helping some of these issues. Maybe try it and report back so the garmin developers will know where the issue is. :) Thanks!

  • Thank you for posting. This is something that we would want to review but first, please try some of these tips:

    • Use one of the pre-loaded watch faces
    • If you keep the Connect app running in the background, do this disruptions still persist?
    • If you use another Connect IQ app, does it update data?
