Venu SQ 2 suddenly won't connect to phone app.

 I have tried pairing, restarting the phone, restarting the app, toggling the Bluetooth. The phone sees the phone on Bluetooth but won't pair. I have an android phone, and just applied the Google update.

I have been successfully using the watch with this phone for over a year, until yesterday.

  • In my experience, the important parts of getting reconnected are:

    • Remove the watch from the Garmin Connect app (if it exists)
    • Remove the watch from Bluetooth settings on your phone using the "unpair" option.
    • Restart both the phone and the watch
    • Place the watch in Bluetooth pairing mode (Settings symbol > Connectivity > Phone > Pair Phone).
    • Open Garmin Connect app and add Venu SQ 2

  • Turn off the watch and turn it on again after a few seconds.
