On wrist display, while swimming

Hi, I'm considering a Venu Sq 2 which will be used daily for pool swims of about 90 minutes/3000 metres. Can anyone confirm that I can set the device up to display lengths as I trundle along? As I move towards the status of living legend my eyesight is not improving, I need fairly large numbers on the screen. If you can point me to any photos of the Swimming function in action I would welcome it.

Cheers

  • Not a Venu owner yet, but on my current Garmin FR645 it shows my distance as I go along in increments of the lap distance that I've set. IOW, if I'm going back and forth on a 50m wide pool it will show 50, 100, 150, etc. as I complete laps (where a "lap" is once across the pool). It does not show a "lap count" per se. This is because I believe it senses your turns to know when you've made it across and doesn't track the actual distance.

  • Hi Gordon, thanks for that, no less than I expected but very reassuring. I have a Fitbit Sense, at the moment, that's 18 months old and with daily use for 90 minutes is slowly showing signs of battery fatigue (not unexpected). As the Sense 2 does not have on wrist stats display for swimming (a huge leap backwards) I'm looking for a practical alternative.
