Since my watch has the 16.28 update, my swim activities have been totally incorrect.
eg. Distance, time, calories, pool length, pace.
When will the next update be to correct these issues?

I just spoke to Garmin Support and they are “investigating”. Rep I spoke with said it's probably not a big issue "since there aren't 20,000 people complaining about it" and that I should take people on…
That would be great. I'm pretty disappointed. Had the watch replaced, after real hassle. New watch did the software update to latest version and my swim today was all over the place. Not ideal for a £400…
I spoke to the garmin support and they will investigate the problem. I'll let you know when I have more informations.
This is good to know. At least, they started to listen. How did you get one? Write to support again?
^^^this is exactly why I’m so mad. All software can break with updates and have issues. That’s somewhat expected. But the complete lack of customer service has me ready to switch and never look back. Garmin has decent competition now and needs to realize that customers will leave if they don’t treat them with respect.
I’m so glad I found this thread I thought I was going insane with the swimming! Garmin had no idea when I reported to them even when I mentioned I thought it had stopped worked after a software update (this is the UK customer service team so don’t know if that factors in). They sent me a new watch and the exact same issue continued - I hope they send a new softwares update soon because I’m sick of them just telling me to review how I’m swimming.
I’d call and let them know how incredibly irritated you are and that you’ll be moving your business elsewhere. Venu 4s are still under warranty so it should be easy to do. They made absolutely no attempt to keep my business which was eye opening.
After months of waiting around for updates and still not getting one that fixed the issue, I asked if Garmin would accept a return for a full refund. They said they can't do it since it is now outside the "30-day" return window. They wouldn't budge. So it is my fault that I waited for promised updates to fix the issue instead of immediately returning it when I first noticed the crash? Very disappointed in Garmin's lack of accountability here.
That’s really surprising that they aren’t sharing information globally as this is a global issue. I’ve been told it’s a “critical issue” and developers are working on it but that’s it. As others has said, doesn’t seem like Garmin cares much for swimmers.
It's a warranty issue which is covered for a year, not a return. The device is not operating as advertised so you want to file a warranty claim and return it.
