VENU 4 still crashes with bluetooth music (BETA 16.16)

I had a run recently, I logged in the forum to checked if this problem it was already solved (it's been since the watch came out), I was happy to read from Garmin support in one post that it was already solved in software 15.33 (if I'm not wrong), since I am in beta 16.16, this issue should had been something of the past.

Well...while running, for me at least, usually from km 0 to km 6 more or less is when it crashes while listening to downloaded music with my bluetooth headphones, and so it did, at around 5km it crashed.

So...why on earth would Garmin claimed to have solved this issue when it seems to be still in beta 16.16? When are they going to solve it for real?
It is not cheap smartwatch, I got it because I wanted to go on runs without my phone but listening to music, so please Garmin, patience is running out already.

  • There are multiple threads about this now, so I'm commenting for visibility/awareness more than anything else. This issue has not been fixed, neither on 15.52 nor on 16.16 beta, despite Garmin claiming otherwise. Unacceptable. 

  • I write for visibility as well and so Garmin, hopefully, takes action and fixes it once for all. Also because they said this problem was already fixed and they are wrong, don't know how they can say it when the problem is clearly still on to all of us. They are taking too long for, what at least I consider, a serious problem, it is not a small bug, is an expensive smartwatch crashing down using one of their main functions (activity + bluetooth). This makes me not recommend this Venu 4, and aware every friend of Garmin solving problems.

  • Anybody from Garmin here to care enough to let us know what the way forward for this issue is???

  • I should have read the reviews on the BBB page before buying another Garmin. I'll be adding my own review there about my experience with the Venu 4 repeatedly crashing when using a function that Garmin actively advertises. After almost half a year, there has been no fix and no honest communication. They even claimed it was resolved and closed the open support topics, despite the issue still existing.
  • We’ve released software version 16.28 for the Venu 4, and would like to ask anyone experiencing crashes while listening to music over Bluetooth during an activity to please update to this latest version to see if the issue persists.

    This update will automatically be synced to your device through the Garmin Connect app or Garmin Express. However, if you have not received it yet, you can manually download it to your watch by selecting Menu > Settings > System > Software Update.
