Message:

Hello, I am experiencing an issue with the "Jump Rope" activity on my Garmin Venu 4 (41mm). The watch does not count jumps correctly.

Issue details:

During a session of [100] jumps, the watch only records [127].

I am using the native Jump Rope activity profile.

Software version: 15.52.

The watch is worn on the [left/right] wrist.

Troubleshooting done: I have already restarted the device and ensured it's worn snugly, but the issue persists. Could you please investigate if this is a known bug or a sensor calibration issue?

Thank you.

  • Since Jump Rope uses the same motion‑classification system as other activities, it explains why overcounts can happen with certain wrist movements. According to How Does the Rep Counting Feature Work on My Garmin Watch?

Are There Certain Exercises That Are Difficult to Accurately Track?
You may experience difficulty tracking the following exercise types due to the motion of the exercise:

    • Stationary wrist exercises: dips, pullups, pushups, planks
    • Leg isolated exercises: extensions, seated presses, calf raises, hamstring curls
    • Complex/hybrid motions: box jumps, “CrossFit” type exercises, burpees
    • Short-range exercises: shoulder shrugs
    • Battle ropes and jump rope

If the numbers stay this far off even with consistent form and a snug fit, it’s worth opening a support ticket so Garmin can review your device data.at https://support.garmin.com.
