Got my Venu 4 on Wednesday and had it's first full day of wear yesterday. I've come from an apple watch, so I know that the comparison with move calories/minutes to intensity minutes / active calories will be slightly different, however I was not expecting such a variance.
On my apple watch an hour gym session will typically register at burning around 180 active calories & 240 total. I wore the watch to the gym yesterday and using the strength workout on the garmin, for a whole hour the active calories only went up to 12? It also only gave me 2 intensity minutes for the whole workout, despite lifting heavy and my heart rate spiking up to 120 at points? My average heart rate was about 85 which was roughly the same as on my apple watch & is also similar to my friends who use garmin. Their active calories however tend to be around 150?
I've made sure my age, weight, height etc and all other personal data are accurate so I cant understand the variance between my apple and the garmin and my friends garmin and mine? It seems wildly innacurate and I'm finding it rather off putting.
