Hi everyone,
I’ve been trying to find out what material the rear sensor cover of the Garmin Venu 3 and Venu 4 is made of, the part that covers the Garmin Elevate V5 optical sensor and touches the skin. Some older Garmin models reportedly used an epoxy or resin-type cover, while others (like newer Fenix or Epix models) may have switched to glass or metal-backed designs.
I can’t find any official documentation or teardowns that specify this for the Venu 4, and I’d like to know whether the sensor surface itself is glass, resin/polymer, or another material (ceramic perhaps?).
If anyone from Garmin or anyone who has done a teardown could confirm this, I’d really appreciate it.
