Hi Garmin team,
I’ve recently noticed that the Venu 4 seems to react to the phone’s Do Not Disturb (DND) mode — even though there’s no official setting for synchronization.
This leads to a frustrating issue: when my phone is in DND mode (which it always is), my watch stops vibrating or alerting for notifications, even though the watch itself is not set to DND.
That behavior is counterproductive for many users.
Some people want the phone and watch to be quiet together — but others (like me) want the opposite:
Phone silent (DND active), watch still alerting for important notifications.
Many other smartwatch platforms (Samsung, Google, Amazfit, etc.) already offer a simple toggle like:
> “Sync Do Not Disturb with phone – On / Off”
Could you please add such an option for the Venu series as well?
This would make the system far more flexible and prevent both types of users (those who want sync and those who don’t) from being frustrated.
Thank you for considering this — it would really improve everyday usability for a lot of us who rely on DND for focus or sleep, but still want the watch to handle notifications independently.
