It happened to me as well. In my case it was the two step verification not be enabled on my Garmin account. You can follow this guide: https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=uGHS8ZqOIhA0usBzBMdJu7 to enable it. Once I turned on the two-steps verification, suddenly a new step in "Finish Set Up" appeared in Garmin connect app, I just had to wait 3-5min.
I struggled with all this today. Follow the steps, finished the set up still didn’t work. I uninstalled then reinstalled the garmin app. It wouldn’t let me connect to network the second time, I refreshed the app and it was all set up again. I went to finish setup on the app again (for the watch) then it gave me the ECG option! Make sure you’re in the region for the ECG compatibility too
I'm extremely frustrated by the entire ECG app process. I've updated the watch multiple times (version 15.33). The Garmin connect app lists the version in Android app info as 5.19.2. Play store says it is up to date. Phone is a Pixel 8 Pro. I've been through the setup and ECG never comes up as an option. I've checked Garmin Connect Web profile and it is set to United States. I cannot get the ECG setup to show up.
I know the integration is working because the watch is logging my heightened stress levels over messing with this for the last two hours. I upgraded from my Garmin Vivoactive 4 to the Venu 4 explicitly for this feature. Normally, I'm impressed with Garmin's setup and software, but this has me considering returning the watch.
