I am a Venu 3S user and would like to suggest two improvements to the Garmin Connect ecosystem to streamline activity tracking for regular athletes:
- Calendar-Triggered Start: Allow activities scheduled in the Garmin Connect Calendar (e.g., a "Badminton" session from 7 AM–9 AM) to automatically prompt the watch to open the corresponding activity profile at the scheduled start time. This would bridge the gap between "planning" and "recording."
- Expanded Auto Activity Start: Currently, the "Auto Activity Start" feature is limited to walking and running. Given the advanced sensors in the Venu 3S, I request this be expanded to include Racket Sports (Badminton, Tennis, Pickleball). If the watch detects high-intensity, sport-specific movement patterns for more than 10 minutes, it should trigger a full activity recording.
Value to User:
For sports like badminton, where players often forget to hit "Start" due to the fast-paced nature of the game, these features would ensure data consistency and a truly "smart" experience that rewards users for their scheduled consistency.
