In the winter, I tend to walk indoors. I am finding that my Garmin Venu 3S is not accurately reflecting my distance walked when using the indoor walk function. I walked a route today that I know is a mile and I wore both my Garmin and an old Fitbit. I have the custom stride length set the same on both devices. The Fitbit came in at .99 miles and the Garmin was .74. I've set the custom stride length. I am swinging my arms when I walk etc. I've made sure my Garmin is up to date with updates. I have restarted my Garmin, but it still is not accurate. I don't have access to a treadmill or an indoor track. Any other suggestions? I am about ready to chuck the Garmin in the trash. At the end of my walk today, there was a mile difference between my Garmin and the Fitbit. Fitbit was closer to actual miles walked.
