Another Stupid Venu 3 update

It gives me the impression that there is basically one type of Garmin watch hardware that gets repackaged in different cases and differentiated only according to sensors and what features are enabled by firmware.

By hardware terms Venu 3 is better than FR 265 and yet they are identically priced and FR 265 is thousand times better than Venu 3. As mentioned above, the Vivoactive 6 is cheaper than Venu 3 and yet has more features. Garmin has definitely lost its charm. They need a very strong and quick reorganization, too many models with very little to no software updates for some.

Garmin showed in Venu X1 that it is possible to add new features (which are supposedly reserved for more running watches) but of course in the new watch.

Of course everything is software limited. The hardware of Venu 3 is more advanced than FR265 but it has almost none of the features of FR265, albeit selling at the same 449$.

If they don't start adding any "new" features, Venu 3 will be my last Garmin.

Just bought Venu 3s a month ago, because of the size and available features. I have had a Epix gen 2 for more than a year but it was just to bulky and I got a nice trade in offer.

This is the second time I've seen a comment of someone being disappointed on an update. But what I don't see or understand is what features are missing compared for instance the Vivoactive 6?

When I do a comparison on the Garmin website of the two I see more features on the Venu 3 I don't see on the Vivoactive 6. If you want specific features, why don't you request them? And fill out the feature request form? 

A lot of differences between Venu 3 and the cheaper Vivoactive 6.

Running Power, PacePro, Courses, increased data fields, more activities like Track Run, Train Run, etc. Courses is the most requested feature for Venu 3. 

I have made a post regarding Feature request and I have filled up the form like 10 times, Garmin is wonderful at ignoring user requests. If you follow LOTR, my analogy would be, Garmin is wearing the one ring haha.

I made that request 11 months ago and I have tagged multiple Garmin support persons later in the Venu 3 forum, but not a single person has replied. Zero support for new ideas or requests.

In other words, all Vivoactive, Venu, and Lily series are more or less abandoned, they will not get any updates. But Garmin is selling the Venu 3 for 450$ and I thought at that price point (which is more than any average watch), Garmin would improve software updates, but seems unlikely. Garmin also launched the Venu 3 by saying it is the best smartwatch they ever made, and the smartwatch cannot record audio notes, okay let us forgive Garmin for that, but we cannot change the Weather to any location we want? That is too much in 2025, especially when you call this one a Smartwatch. I was traveling, so I had to reach my destination, turn on Bluetooth, connect to Wi-Fi and patiently wait for a minute for the watch to grab the information and provide the local weather.

Thank you for explaining, now it makes more sense related to your start post. Can I suggest you add these links with the original requests next time? So other users can see what it's about instead of maybe skipping it? 

Many of them already know the situation, so I was thinking it is useless to add and make a large comment everytime, but I get your point, let's see what Garmin makes with the next update and if not will create another stupid update post with all the links. Also edited the current post.
