Sleep quality

I wonder what's everyone's impression of the sleep score is, I'd love to hear your experiences.

I've been using the watch for 11 days now, and I always get "not restful" sleep reports, around 60pt or even lower. I'm a light sleeper, always have been, so it doesn't bother me much, but I actually like reading the little tips that the watch gives me to get better sleep - relax before bedtime, etc. etc. So I thought I'd try it and did a 20 min body scan meditation before bed time (I also worked out that day in the morning). Slept like a baby for 1h longer than I normally do - and the watch is telling me I didn't have a restful sleep, giving me a score only slightly better than average (66 or so). Isn't this weird? I mean there maybe some underlying stress or something but if I wake up feeling super well rested shouldn't the scores reflect that? Otherwise it just seems like a made up number... Thinking

  • Well it keeps tracking me as asleep wen I'm fully awake, and when I edit the sleep times, it renders it useless because it claims I was fully in deep sleep when I probably wasn't according to the tracking it claimed before I was asleep.
    So honestly, the sleep feature seems pretty useless to me, tus rendering the whole watch kind of useless. I had the same issues with te Venu 2s, but they claimed it was improved on the 3s. So far, it doesn't look like it, and I'm considering ust sending the whole thing back for a refund.

  • Comparing my Venu3 sleep rating and personal feeling with my beloved one and her fitbit charge 6 it seems like garmins scoring is less positive than fitbit. In summary, both are not perfect in my opinion and give an idea about the sleeping.

  • So this is quite interesting. I've been using the watch for 2-3 weeks or so now and have been following the evening report insights - no workout before bed (not even yoga), meditating to reduce stress etc. and my sleep score improved from 60-65 avg. to 78 now. So there's a clear response to what I'm doing and the scores seem to reflect improvement in my stress lvl / rest quality quite noticeably.
