After using the golf app for this watch for more than a year I am giving up. It is unreliable and causes frustration on the golf course. It auto records a few shots, but it misses most.

Exactly, I'm not sending them a video because Garmin can't grasp that dozens of people with the exact same issue might be a software issue on their end. Just send the fix or revert it to a previous version…
I am having the same problem as 2844868. And yes, I know how to wear and use the watch. Started having the problem with my Venu 2+ so bought a Venu 3 a few months ago and it has never been right. This…
It is unnecessary to send pics and videos because: it worked for 8 Month without any problems. I do nothing different now than I always did. the watch worked! when I hit the ball the watch simply doesn…
After updating to 14.15 it only prompted my last of back 9 game. Next day it was working just fine for front 9 game. The next two days it wasn’t working at for 18 hole and then not working for front and back 9. Until now it’s not recording my shots at all. Hopefully Garmin will fix it soon not as long as when we had problems with yardages.
I’m a new venu 3 user and have also noticed this issue since the last update
I did a reset, played 9 holes the next day, watch worked fine.’all shots were auto tracked. It no longer asked me which club I used but at least it tracked all the shots. Today (2 days later) played 15 holes. Only tracked the tee shots on every hole. It appears that I drove the green every hole.
I am having the same problem as 2844868. And yes, I know how to wear and use the watch. Started having the problem with my Venu 2+ so bought a Venu 3 a few months ago and it has never been right. This is unbelievable. I am not sending a video or any of that crap. You know what the problem is but for some reason don't want to fix it. Or is it that you can't? Maybe if we all send these watches back for a refund you will figure it out. The watch does not see the correct hole, does not show yardages and does not track shots.

Mine is now doing the same thing. I just played a little while ago and it missed most of my shots. A 136 yard par 3 nine iron should have definitely triggered it. But it didn't
I can try to get you videos when I play this weekend. I don’t know what that will do, I can describe exactly what happens. It only detects tee shots. No irons, hybrids, wedges, etc. I already gave you access to my data (via a support case, which I haven’t heard any updates from).
there were no issues prior to the latest software upgrade, and I did not make any setting changes to my watch before this issue started occurring.
Is this across the board with all Garmin watches? Or just the ones that are not golf specific? Is Garmin trying to get golfers to buy the more expensive Garmin golf watches? Those watches are too big and bulky for my wrists which is why I chose the Venu3 but this is the second time a software update has broken the golf feature in the 8 months I have owned it. Do better Garmin.
I'm having the same problem. It used to work fine, but around memorial day it just completely failed. At the time it wasn't giving proper distances either, but that's started working again. Still no club prompts. It'll prompt for a club maybe once per round, while pre-memorial day it would even pick up most chips. I've had to go back to Arccos.
Ok, it stopped working after the latest update (I synchronize not often, so it's since last week)
Before never a problem.
1. Yes
2. Yes, after turning everything on and off it worked once and then stopped working again.
3. On the left wrist as per 1.
4. It is strapped the same as the previous umptheen rounds, snug.
5. Yes
6. Yes, probably longer. Btw, before my venu 3 I had a vivo3, and never ever in the past 5 years has there been a problem
7. And how will this help? I hit the ball, screen stays the same, counts down towards the hole while walking.
Unless you tell me how to get debug info from the accelerometers and breakpoints in the software there is nothing to see. Just do a diff on the app, and if you canl't find it there, do a diff on the sensor core. Somewhere there is a sensor event which is not being passed back to the golf app.
