how does the privacy zone work?

I have set a privacy zone around my house but notice when i join a group i can see the map of my walk with the start and stop at my house? How do i enable the privacy zone to blur out this segment of my walk?

Hello! Understanding Privacy Zones in Garmin Connect should give some guidance. The privacy setting doesn't blur the location per se, it causes the map to not show the portion inside the zone specified and instead start/end at the border of the zone.

thanks for your reply! .. but when i look at the map it isn't blurring or obscuring the start/stop. you can clearly see my house starting position!

Do other members of your group see the same, or is their view obscured while yours shows the true path?
