Google voice assistant issue

Hello

I updated my venu3 to latest firmware (13.19) just a few minutes ago and I was happy to read in changelog report "Improvements to Voice Assistant interactions with various Android phones"

  1. My happiness stopped just later to have a long press on central button of my V3 SmileJoy

I've not any ideas about to solve it.

In others post, anyone suggest to unistall Google app in Smartphone and don't update it to last version. I done it but without solutions.

Last idea is to perform a factory reset to V3 but I'm almost certain that it no works.

Any experiences about? Advices?

Thank you

  • Don't expect any move from Garmin side... It was working on 12.x but they are still saying they are not able to fix it on 13.x...

  • Yep - I have the same problem. Hold the middle button, watch says "Connecting to Voice Assistant"; voice assistant launches on phone; eventually watch gives an error message saying it can't connect.

When I bought it, it worked perfectly straight out of the box. But as firmware updates have been pushed out (with no option to not install them), things have stopped working. With the latest firmware, now my ECG has stopped working as well...

Venu 3; Xiaomi 14 Ultra (yes, because it's not made by Samsung or Google, I do keep checking the incompatible phones list).

This is now my 8th Garmin watch and after this experience, my next watch won't be made by Garmin. Their watches aren't cheap; they sell them with certain features advertised; when those features don't work, they treat owners as beta testers. Great hardware but terrible software.

  • Related to ECG, are you using beta firmware?

  • I agree for all your words. I'm an "over-devices" garmin user from a lot of years; I'm totally accustomed with the platform of Garmin and for this reason I bought several devices that interact it self but I'm incredibly disappointed.

  • We obviously and in large numbers are having issues with the Garmin Venu 3, it is documented very well in this forum and website. But I am curious as to why prominent tech news outlets such as Wearable, Gizmodo, Engadget, and Lifehacker to name a few seem to consistently publish positive reviews and features about the Venu 3 and Garmin products in general, without acknowledging the widespread problems that users are reporting?
