Google voice assistant issue

I updated my venu3 to latest firmware (13.19) just a few minutes ago and I was happy to read in changelog report "Improvements to Voice Assistant interactions with various Android phones"

  1. My happiness stopped just later to have a long press on central button of my V3 SmileJoy

I've not any ideas about to solve it.

In others post, anyone suggest to unistall Google app in Smartphone and don't update it to last version. I done it but without solutions.

Last idea is to perform a factory reset to V3 but I'm almost certain that it no works.

Any experiences about? Advices?

  • Tried the 14.15 firmware that just dropped, in the change log it did not say anything related to this issue, but had my hopes. But it made no difference, I hope another update comes soon so I can use my voice assistant and answer calls.

  • Exactly same updated no difference absolutely useless and a joke of a company really miffed now as ongoing way too long. Even deleted connect app, reset bluetooth on phone both devices off then on took 2 hours to reconnect watch to phone, app said failed but phone saw and saved watch in Bluetooth settings... what a complete sham and waste of money this watch is... should have gone with samsung or apple watch

  • Mine is working since this morning whereas it was not working since weeks, i was in 13.19. I just updated to 14.15 manually and it's working again. I have a google pixel 8a. Maybe it was also a google problem ?

  • Wifes venu 3 s disconnected from phone 2x in last day. Had to re- pair. This watch absolutely sucks!

  • Comprei o meu venu 3s no início de março e as funções de Assistente de Voz e Atendedor de chamadas não eram compatíveis com o meu bom e velho Xiaomi Redmi 9T, de 2021.

    À poucos dias comprei o Google Pixel 9a, acabadinho de ser lançado.

    Quando conectei o relógio, recebi a bela informação de que as funções de Assistente de Voz e Atendedor de chamadas não eram compatíveis com o meu Pixel 9a.

  • Received some sort of update this a.m. and after that had a phone call that the watch showed (although I didn't try to answer it on the watch). Tried using the google voice assistant afterward and still the same issue. VA activates on phone (Galaxy s22 Ultra) but watch says can't connect. Garmin engineers are an absolute joke. I suspect they are too concerned about creating a new watch to sell, that might or might not work as advertised, for a new revenue source rather than concentrating on fixing a MAJOR problem that doesn't make them any money. Just fix the issue with the Venu 3!!!

  • I am so sad to see that this issue with Google Assistant is not solved after months.

    I imagine it is not just up to Garmin, Google may have messed up something.

    Please Garmin, find a way to solve this!!!

  • Can you pleaaaase give us a timeline? I want to use this function - the only reason I purchased the watch. If the fix date is stull TBD and there are no concrete steps to solving, can you please work with us on getting refunded for the watch? 

  • Surely under the consumer rights, if you can't repair the item you have to give a partial refund. With this going on so long, surely it now falls under the, you can not repair the issue. Therefore I would also like a partial refund.
