I have been using the Venu 3 for several months. Several updates have been released during that time, but they have not fixed the major issues.
Here are the main ones:
1. It only notifies incoming calls with a single tone and one vibration. Why?
2. Quick replies from the watch usually don’t work at all. The watch indicates that the message was sent, but it never arrives anywhere. So where does the message go?
3. Making calls from the watch sometimes works, but other times the call ends after a few seconds. The issues also persist when using Android Auto in the vehicle.
4. Poor Bluetooth range. However, this is likely a hardware issue, not a software problem.
If we overlook the last point regarding Bluetooth range, why do the Venu 3 still have these issues? I've tried three different phones over this time, and the problems with the watch are the same on all of them.
I don’t understand how Garmin hasn’t been able to fix this. The watch is quite expensive, and I would expect everything to work as it should. However, nothing has been fixed even after several months.
If the watch didn’t have good battery life, I would have gotten rid of it a long time ago. Now I’m considering getting the OnePlus Watch 3. I won’t be buying Garmin watches anymore.
