Run activity does not sync after Garmin outage

I did an outdoor run followed by a strength activity yesterday...

the strength activity did sync while the run did not.

I saw a message that Garmin is facing an outage at this time, but also now after the outage the run does not sync

tried to manually sync via the Garmin connect phone app and via Garmin express on PC, the sync works but the run activity is not shown

on the watch itself (Venu 3S) the run activity appears as always with all data and details 

any idea what I can do to sync the missing activity ?

  • Hello, try manually importing the file like this: 

    1. With your device still plugged in, sign into Garmin Connect.

    2. Select   in the top right corner of the page.

    3. Select Import Data.

    4. Select Browse.

    5. Locate and select an activity file.

    6. Select Import

    On step 5, the File explorer should launch and you will need to locate the Venu as a hard drive. Select internal storage > GARMIN, and check the Activity, TempFIT, and NewFiles folders for the activity, which should appear as the date of the run.FIT

    I see the activity now in Garmin Connect and also total distance considers it etc.
    But I wonder if the vo2max was recalculated as the result of the file import?

    as the vo2max value did not change - I cannot really tell...
