Making a call by using Assistant (both GA and Bixby) cause the call to be immediatly redirected to the phone

Hi,

When I try to make a call by using Assistant (both GA and Bixby), the call is immediatly redirected to the phone, without no longer control from the smartwatch. In a ideal scenario, the call should be started by using the asistant and it should be kept in the smartwatch with the ability to transfer it to the phone without losing the control from the smartwatch.

Hope this can be fixed in order to have a really useful assistent call feature.

Hi Flavio -

On the device, go to Settings > System > Connectivity > Phone > Call Audio - Is this setting enabled or no?

Yes, it's enabled. Infact it's possible to make calls with the smartwatch by using the keyboard or by selecting a contact in the smartwatch rubrica. In these cases, the call is not immediately redirected to the phone. The issue occours only when the call is made by using the Assistant (both Bixby and Google Assistant).

Has the device ever worked as expected or has this been since new out of box?

What model of Android phone do you have? Which Android Operating system?

- Since new out of box

- Galaxy S24 with last Android One UI6 update.

This issue was already reported in past by several other users, as you can see by looking for the web. So, this is a known issue.

I am doing some digging and will get back to you. I also have an S24 and can't reproduce the issues with the Google Assistant (I do get the behavior with Gemini). I agree there were past reports but we made changes that addressed this in the past. This behavior is new for the software version.

I specify the current firmware version of the smartwatch is 13.17. If you have S24 and a venu 3 with 13.17, you can simply reproduce the case by activating Goglogle Assistant from the watch and say "Call [one contact in your phone]". You eill see the call will be started from the watch, and after 2 - 5 seconds, the call will be forwarded to the phone. On the watch the call panel disappear.

The version oh the Venu is 13.17. If you want to reproduce the case, you have only to activate Goggle assistant and say "Call [one contect oh phone]". Even if the call will start in the wacth, after 3 - 5 seconds it will be redirected to the phone and the dial control panel on the watch simply disappears.
