Watch won’t reply to a Facebook Messenger message

You receive a FB Messenger message.
You go to reply on the watch and select any of the options ie OK. The watch responds with a picture of an envelope the same as relying to email. The recipient doesn’t not get a reply. This happens with a Venu 1 and 3. The problem started occurring about a month ago before that it has worked perfectly for years. Tried different Cellphones, Android.

  • I'm having this issue also on my Venu 3. You're saying it's a new issue? I just bought my Venu less than a week ago and I've been trying to figure out how to reply to Facebook Messenger messages. 

  • Yes it was working perfectly up until I think 2 firmware upgrades ago. I chatted online with 3 different people at Garmin support only to get disconnected 3 times and then get a different persons who asked me the same questions. Eventually I gave up. 
    When it replies to FB message with a canned word, like OK,  the watch shows an email icon. This has never happened before.

  • I am having the same problem (message replies through my Garmin Venu 3 are not going to the recipient).  Garmin support started having me turn things off/on or uninstall/install up to the point where they disconnected me from the chat before resolution of this problem.  Having this capability was 90% of the reason for purchasing the Venu 3.  As stated above, it worked previously until about 2 months ago.  Very disappointed.  It does work with SMS messages.

  • Yes that is exactly the same problem I am having with Venu 3 and Venu 1. During chat Garmin asked me to send a photo. Then chat disconnected. I called back and got a different person and had to start from scratch and asked to send a video. Did that and disconnected again. Contacted a third time and they said it was my phone. Two different make phones 2 different watches, I don’t think so. They never replied to the photo and video I sent. They later sent an email in non English asking me to review the chat.
