When starting a workout, the watch shows an unrealistic altitude for my region. If I automatically calibrate the altitude in the settings, it shows the correct one. How do I adjust the altitude? Have you encountered this?
In addition to the info that seilogramp provided - there are two small holes next to the charging port on the back of the watch. Debris of any kind that obstructs those holes can cause issues with elevation readings. Please ensure they are clear, it may help to soak the watch in a bowl of warm water for 10-15 minutes to see if it clears any debris.
