Venu 3 - No smart alarm feature

Hey Garmin team, just got the Venu 3, but there is no smart alarm feature.

I was expecting this to be the top altheletic and fitness watch and would have that feature.


Is that going to be added in the near future.That was a primary reason I bought this. I want a good sleep watch so it would wake me up at the proper time.
Please let me know if this is in development or explain why it was decided ot to be added.

    There is literally no technical constraint preventing Venu3 from offering a functionality that is already available in lower/older configurations. Furthermore, if the goal is to persuade the current Venu 3 user base to transition to the new model, adopting this approach is a risky marketing strategy, with obvious reputational damage and minimal benefits. As the two models essentially replicate the same bunch of sensors and software, those willing to transition for this function only will shop somewhere else.

    I'm not here to dispute your assertions, defend Garmin's decisions, or speculate on their direction. I'm simply presenting the facts. The feature you asked about is on the Venu 4. The sensors are the same, but the software is different and features are expanded.

    I also never understood they are not having this feature in Garmin 3. It was even available at the Garmin 2 times. I wouldn't buy it if i noticed this was missing. 

    Unless Garmin adds this feature to Venu 3(it's implemented for Venu 4) with the upcoming updates, I don't plan to buy a Garmin again. Because there will be always something missing and it destroys the trust to the company, if they provide the new features to only new models as a decision(not due to a technical impossibility).

    Is there a way to request this smart alarm feature to be brought to the venu 3? This has also been the biggest disappointment since I bought the watch. It's actually the main feature i wanted

    Customer support got back to me via email:

    The Smart Alarm feature is only available on the Venu 4 with no current plans to bring it to the Venu 3. If this is something you would like to see, please mentioned it to bring it to our developers attention: Submitting an Idea to Garmin via support.garmin.com/.../

    Garmin never adds new features to watches like the Venu lineup. The initial one or two updates will bring some features if you are lucky, apart from that, expect no more. That is how Garmin treats these devices. Zero updates.

    Submitting idea is useless. I have been doing it from Day 1 of Venu 3 release. No replies, nothing. I even emailed Garmin support to ask for better updates for the 450$ watch, their reply was more like get a new watch. End of conversation. Using Garmin since 2017, now I guess it is time to abandon once my Venu 3 dies.

    Got a similar answer. I appreciate the frankness, but I find this approach untenable in 2025, with such a variety of great/better devices.

    Same here. Since the day I expect this and many similar features. No feedback on developer pages. No feedback to beta users. Next time I will probably buy a Chinese competitor for half price.
