Sleep tracking so inaccurate!

I bought the Venu 3s in December, I upgraded from a really ancient Fitbit. The Fitbit was so much better at tracking my sleep! I like the other features I get with the Venu but I’m so disappointed with how much I’ve paid out for something that tells me I’ve been in deep sleep when I know for a fact I was wide awake as I couldn’t get to sleep!

Does anyone think the sleep tracking will improve with updates or should I cut my losses and go back to Fitbit?

  • I used Withings watches for years, the activity & sleep tracking are much better than the Garmin Venu 3 I got last year. After many years the withings battery which used to last about 30 days on a charge was getting to less than 14 days so I thought I'd try the newer display style Venu . I still go back to the withings for a few days everytime I charge my Garmin.

  • I've had a lot of watches, the worst of all was the Withings! I note your incompetence when you say that activity tracking is much better on the Withings!

  • For me, sleep tracking is very accurate. Everything is correct: times to fall asleep, times to wake up. I am very happy with the Garmin watch. It is almost perfect.

  • I know it can't be 100% precise but I am usually satisfied with the sleep tracking and feedback. My unit occasionally ignores the wakeup command though. If I am up before the set waking time, I tell it I am waking up and it shows the morning report but missing are the sleep stats and HRV. I have to exit the report, go to sleep score, and tell it a second time I'm waking for it to have the data. Weird bug.
