Indoor Distance way off!

My new Venu3 is WAAAAY off on calculation of distance for indoor walks. I know I should expect some inaccuracies but not a factor of 5. I did a 4 km walk roughly 5000 steps) on the treadmill & the watch indicated 0.9 km. Garmin suggested that I do a treadmill calibration, but that requires that the watch record at least 2.5 km; which means that I'd have to walk about 10 REAL km for the watch to read that. I already did a total reset of the watch but it didn't make any difference.

Any ideas?

Thanks, but as I mentionned doing a 1.5 mile treadmill calibration would mean walking 6 miles since I'm off by a factor of 5. That would take over 3 hours of walking

You could also try doing multiple calibrations of 2.4 km each. That way it might gradually improve the accuracy without having to walk 10 km in one go. Otherwise.

Mine calibrates after a treadmill walk by asking me how far I went based on the treadmill measurement. After a few calibrations, it's pretty accurate now. It's been doing this for walks between 1.6 and 2 miles. You should contact support.
