Battery deteriorated suddenly After latest update December 2024. Battery used to last 7-10 days, now it loses +50% in a single day. Change happened overnight after software upgrade. Checked all settings, no changes. Please advise.

Given up. I was the one who raised the “thread” 25 days ago and I am still in the dark with no answers. Absolutely no support from Garmin on the issue and their willingness to assist with customer support…
I switched my watch off. Charged it to 100% and it is looking good now, so I was a bit quick saying 12.12 didn't work. looks like I needs a power cycle after the update.

Given up. I was the one who raised the “thread” 25 days ago and I am still in the dark with no answers. Absolutely no support from Garmin on the issue and their willingness to assist with customer support is appalling. I’m starting to think that it’s by design as a system engineered to do this after certain time integrated into software updates so that you are forced to buy a new watch.
I went another way and have gone with a different brand watch. For both my wife and I. Because we simply cannot condone, accept and support this type of attitude from a company towards their customers.
That’s by Garmin design
Even after email.
no solutions.
Appalling customer service. Cannot support of condone this level of apathy and lack of service or answers. Bought a competing brand for both my wife and I.
I totally understand you. Bought first Venu 2 Plus 18 months ago. Same situation with battery happened after 6 months. After one update batter went from 10 days to 4 days. After next update it went to hours - less than a day. It was clearly caused by update. No communication on this forum from Garmin site. Only option was to go to seller and wait 30 days for "repair". Garmin service center sent new watches.
Now we are here. Almost same situation with girl's Venu 3S. From 10 days to 3-4 days after last update. No communication from Garmin (but they deleted one post from me when I used bad word :) Luckily, the Beta version helped and it looks like we are back on 10 days battery. BUT, reading these posts, it looks like the behavior is totally random.
Terrible experience. And what makes me really angry is the typical (auto) answer from Garmin. For battery settings follow this guide for dummies. Or hard reset. Or reset.
I did full reset, installed 12.12.
For me 12.12 brought back daily avg to 10-11% (measured with battery level app) w/o night spo.
With night spo it is 16%.
for me these are absolutely acceptable values after a fresh install.
so I’m ok but I agree: feature /idea requesrs going to the ditch, online sw customer care is useless.
onsite garmin partners and stores (at least in my country) are great.
sw turnaround time has improved, regression testing not so much
Using the Garmin Venu 3 built-in battery app, my average is 0.47% per hour and since last charge is 2.0% per hour. Thats almost identical to you. I'm going to try the reset stuff. Garmin is at least obligated to allow reset and ROLLBACK to a firmware that works. Otherwise there are special legal avenues here in New Zealand. I've got results when Google did this with their latest Fitbit. It was the reason I switched to Garmin!
Now trying 'turning it off and on again" tricks. Wish me luck.

I have a Venu 2, still the same problem and no 12.12 Update available :'(
