Possibly the same bug has been reintroduced that was present prior 12.10.
after workouts the battery drain increases significantly. Avg daily consumption is 15-16%.
incident detection might be running in the background constantly.

I'm experiencing the same. I've tried everything. Even factory reset the watch, but didn't help.
How will the developers be informed about it so that at least we can hope for a fix?
Just bought a venu 3 and encountering the same issue. Ironically bought this as I've read the battery life is good. How do these developers work? Surely they should do some form of UAT prior to release of firmware upgrades. A bit embarrassing if I'm honest.
I truly believe that the Garmin programmers don't bother running test scenarios for their software. I can hear it all now, "oh no, we didn't know THAT could happen." I've experienced the same issue and have executed the same fix for every upgrade since 11.xx. I automatically do the following for EVERY sw/fw update.
If I'm using a non OEM watch face or app, I delete them all and install a Garmin watch face. I then connect the my Venu 3S to Garmin Express, Sync, and charge to 100%. Then, monitor battery life for a few days. If all is well, I will reinstall the previously deleted watch face and/or apps. Check battery comsumption for a few days. If okay, I move to with life. IF NOT, I do this:
Note: This was posted by user, "Scoopynaps" on a previous battery post.
This procedure will NOT reset your watch and no settings should be lost.
1. Plug the device into a computer’s USB port using the charging cable.
2. Open Garmin Express and select the device. Sync to make sure there are no updates available.
3. Press and hold the top button for 45+ seconds until the screen goes completely blank while connected to Garmin Express.
4. Once blank, release the button and allow the computer to power it back on. If it doesn't power back on, you may need to unplug the USB end and plug it back into the computer to power the device back on.
5. Charge the watch back to 100%.
After that, I'll try reinstalling options.
Needless to say, this shouldn't be necessary. A sw/fw update should NEVER impact already installed components in the watch. Garmin programmers could stand to learn a little about memory management.
