Venu3 black screen

I own a Venu 3 and every once in a while, screen turns black and stays like that for few hours to few days whatever I do. I've seen this problem on other forums and have tried all the solutions I could find (reset, factory reset, no apps install, various settings options etc.) but it happens anyway.

I've sent it to local official repair shop (Garmin Croatia) they "test it", conclude it works normally and send it back telling me i should just shut it down and turn on again and it will be as good as new. I made a video of the problem - i recorded that the watch connects to the Garkin connect app with screen "black", the video shows that i shut the watch down, start it up again but nothing happens and it makes no difference to the repair shop. They continue hinting that the problem is me and my innability to use electronics. 

I lost all the trust in Garmin brend and I am stuck with a 400+ euro watch that does not work properly. 

Does anybody has any experience with similar problems and/or Garmin doing the right thing and refunding the device or replacing it with one that works.

  • Hello, I have had a Ven 3 watch since October 2024. It has happened 3 times since purchase that the screen goes black and it is impossible to turn it on by touching it. The first 2 times, the screen came back on when plugging in the watch. Now the screen stays black and I can't change that. I pressed button A for a long time and I hear the power-on sound but the screen remains black.

  • Hi. I got into a fight with Garmin Croatia and in the end they replaced the watch. It’s been 5 weeks now and it still did not happen again but we’ll see what happens next. Based on many many comments around the interenet, there is a problem with this and possibly other series of Garmin watches but Garmin is not officially addressing it.
