VO2max Cycling?!

Hello everyone, I've been riding a Venu3 and a power meter for a few days now. Unfortunately, I don't see any VO2max cycling. Since there are different statements, I ask for a short answer whether the Venu3 VO2max supports cyclists or not! Gladly also from a Garmin manager.

Yes, it does. Check page 48 in the product manual.

I heard the same thing somewhere on Reddit and that led to the conclusion that Venu 3 does not support cycling VO2 Max. Garmin-Tracy can you kindly look into this?

Thanks for the tip with the FR965. Now I can decide whether to get the 965 or stay hybrid with the venu3 and the FR745. Currently I get the FR965 for €519,-

But Page 49 in the Venu 3 User manual downloaded from the Garmin website (as per Nov 21st 2024) states under "About VO2 Max" Estimates": " The device has separate VO2 max. estimates for running and cycling." Is this statement incorrect?

My apologies, the manual content is incorrect. The Venu 3 series is not capable of tracking Cycling V02 Max. I have made the team aware that we need to make edits to the manual.

I think that has to be done urgently. I did buy the Venu 3 thinking it has Cycling VO2 max. It is not a important feature for me but I was disappointed to find out that the manual was incorrect as soon as I bought the device back in November 2023.

I too bought the Venu 3 with the assumption that it records VO2max, specifically for cycling. I actually upgraded from the Venu 2, which according to my Garmin Connect readings has been giving me VO2Max on my cycling rides. Are you saying that this will not be the case with the Venu 3?

I too just bought the Venu 3 with the assumption that it measures VO2max, specifically on cycling rides. I actually upgraded from the Venu 2, which appeared to be reading VO2Max based on when I look at the stats in the Connect app. Is this not the case? If so, how is Garmin Connect determining the VO2max that appears in Connect?

That is your VO2max for running/walking and not cycling.
