Auto Tracking activity not working Venu 3

I recently got a Venu 3 watch and one of the things that is really important to me is the auto tracking of an activity.

The watch do have the latest public version 11.14 (non Beta)

I ve noticed that the auto tracking feature for work has never worked for me, set it down to 5 minutes but even after a 2km walt, it doesn't do anything.

Is this a known bug or am I missing something here,

Also, while tracking an activity, there is no option to go back to home screen? you are only locked in the data screens?

I do not understand how is it possible a 500dollar watch advertised as smart and not able to do basic stuff samsung watches are doing since ther beginning even with the Tizen OS or other mainstream watches. Thats a big bummer.

  • You can go to the home screen during an activity by swiping right. It'll go back to the activity screen eventually, but you can swipe around to different screens.

  • I found about the swipe but as you said it always comes back to the activity.

I am really pissed with myself and Garmin.

Unfortunately I never checked what Venu 3 offers as features.

I couldn't believe that a new 500$ watch do not have the training load/focus/readiness.

How come my old edge 830 had it but a new smartwatch does not.

I am gutted with garmin. If you want a smartwatch to take calls and the training load/focus/readiness, you have to go with fenix 8. Training is just a metric, nowhere near related with the hardware.

I think garmin should reduce its SKUs as they are all over the place and only confusion creates.
