Venu 3 HR Sensor Stops Working

I recently purchased a Venu 3 a few days ago. Starting today (9/6/2024), I noticed the HR sensor stopped working - LED lights weren’t on. After restarting the watch, this seemed to fix it, but only for a few minutes.

Is this a power saving feature? Battery was around 40% when I noticed this happening

Is this a bug with the latest SW update (11.14)?

Is it something else?

Hard restart hasn’t fixed the issue. Sensor actually runs hot (to the point where it’s burning my wrist), right before it shuts off and stops working. Going to have to return it.

Have you tried a hard reset? Press and hold the top button until the watch turns off. If you have emergency assistance on, just hold the button down - don't let go to notify your contacts. After it turns off, give it a minute or two, then plug it into the charging cable. It will turn on and hopefully work as expected. That has worked for me in the past (instructed to do this by Garmin Support).

If you just bought it, return it or contact garmin for support.
