Weather Location Gone in 11.14

Hello,

After updating to 11.14, the weather observation location no longer displays on any of my watch faces.

I'll take this opportunity, again, to ask that the weather location be added to the weather app. Seems sensible, no? Why isn't it there already?

Same issue for me. Restarting, getting a GPS fix or synchronising with the Connect app don't help.

The Venu 3 has a GPS location based weather feature and it is not possible to add a manual location. This was a design choice and it is working as intended.

Thanks for the information. I've sent in this suggestion several times in the past. I think the the fact that it's still not present makes it clear we won't be getting it.

I'm talking about the weather location on the watch face, which is a complication that has always been available since I bought the Venu 3, but is no longer working since the update. I'm not talking about a manual location, or a new feature.

Your link "Updating the Weather Location" is redirecting me to the current page, so I cannot check it. But it sounds like something that could help fix the issue.

Are you referring to a third-party watch face? The Venu 3 has never had a built-in watch face that showed the weather location. However, the weather location was always provided in the data set so it could be added to a watch face for display or as a complication to launch the weather app. Garmin removed the weather location from the data set so it can no longer be displayed. Built-in watch faces that display the current temperature will still launch the weather app.

Of course, it's possible you're talking about something else and I misunderstood.

Yes, I'm talking about the weather complication.

You'd only know the weather location was removed if you were using it on a watch face. I used to have the location on all my watch faces and it disappeared with the 11.14 update. When I asked, Garmin told me it was a design choice. I've been complaining about this on Venus for a while, because they have a weather app that doesn't show the location for the weather report you're looking at. Does any other weather app do that?

So I moved on. But I appreciate the opportunity to complain about it again!
