Venu 3s looses BT connection. Why?

My Venu 3s looses connection and has to be paired again every time I switch bluetooth off/on on phone (Huawei) or after using flight mode. It also diappears from the bluetooth list of connected devices. After reenabling bluetooth on phone they both pop up with the bluetooth pairing number to be confirmed but this will not reenable connection in Connect app. I have to not confirm the first bluetooth pairing number and do all pairing from within app.

Pairing is also a pain but retrying several times always brings me there. I just don't like to do this every other day,

Why is it diappearing from the BT list of connected devices after toggeling BT off/on? This seems to be the cause of my trouble.

  • Hi ,
I have the same problem with venu 3. Venu 3 looses the connection several times a day.
I have to pair smartphone and venu 3 completly new again as a already existing device.
After several tries the connection is done and the configuration of the venu is the same.
I have do this every day.
This is for me so a NoGo.

    I have also a huawei P30 Pro.

Does anyone have any idea what I can do to fix the problem?

    Thanks a lot

  • Hello- Per the Garmin Connect App Compatibility Requirements The following phone models did not pass internal tests with some of our devices. The phone and device may work together, but may require continued Garmin Connect App Bluetooth® Troubleshooting.

  • I still have this trouble but can keep the connection for weeks if I don't use flight mode, toggle BT off/on or restart my Huawei P30. If I do it wil take 50+ pairing attempts before I get a stable connection. Just have to schedule a night for it.

  • Hi Garmin-Tracy,

I've checked the EMUI of my P30 Pro and I have

    • EMUI 12.00

This has been the case for a long time and I don't know anything about a plan for an EMUI upgrade from HUAWEI.

Since 2 days my Garmin Connect connects now the smartwatch sporadically (not so fast like on Samsung Galaxy A51) and stays connected for a short time.
This is since I've registered my venu3 and garmin connect on a Samsung Galaxy A51.
Then I registered it on P30 Pro as an already registered smartphone after reboot of the smartphone and smartwatch and removing any Bluetooth connections. This was succesfully done felt after 20 attempts.

With Samsung Galaxy A51 the connection works very well and FAST. There are no problems.

But my main smartphone is P30 Pro and I have to use Venu 3 with it.  Do you have any ideas what else I can do? I don't want to change my smartphone just because of the garmin smartphone.

Thanks a lot for your for help

  • Hi 7468390,

after toggling BT on->off->on i have the same problem like yours to connect the smartphone and smartwatch. After 10 attempts it is still not possible.
