activity continues but distance/position is no longer recorded (Venu 3S)

Yesterday and today I recorded a cycling activity. Ob both rides the time, elevation and heart rate were recorded correctly but the GPS recording seemed to suddenly stop after a few km. The distance and route on the map therefore only shows a few km and the average speed is on 2.5 km/h... xD
I live in a capital with good signal and I never had this issue the past months.

What could cause this problem?

hi! just noticed this happening with the walk indoor activity - distance was tracking yesterday (though i recall thinking it looked a bit off) and won't track beyond 0.01 mi this morning. turned the device off/on and closed out of the Connect app but no luck with either.

steps are also tracking a bit choppy and only appears to be consistently counting when the Connect app is actively open on my phone.
