Anyone with Venu 3S - How long is your battery life ?

Hi to everyone.

My wifes Venu 3S is lasting max of 5 days if run to 0%.
so normally charged around 20% it will be max 4 days.

This is in smartwatch mode only and no activities.

Could any other 3S owner chime in and tell me if 10 days advertised is true or not ? I have contacted garmin and I’m about to post it back for repair or we will be pushing for refund if that’s not the case?

AOD is OFF

Brightness is set to Auto and Minimum

Screen timeout is Short

Pulse OX on demand only

Redshift and do not disturb at night

No notifications on watch other than calls

No activities at all consume 20% per day of battery

with short walk activity it’s 25%

Advertised as 10 days battery in smartwatch mode with AOD off

anyone can chime in and give me his stats ?

many thanks

  • My watch says 12 days after full charge

But this estimate I'm getting is after 2 days of discharge.  So it's okay for me, even though it may not be exact.  Anyway, 48 hours and 15% drain and you can make the calc, 15/48=.3125 per hour

  • From the watch manual, I'd try turning bluetooth off for a while.

And my "connected alerts" is turned off BTW.

    Phone and Bluetooth Settings

Hold , and select Settings > System > Connectivity > Phone.

    Status

Displays the current Bluetooth® connection status and allows you to turn Bluetooth technology on or off.

    Connected Alerts

Alerts you when your paired phone connects and disconnects.

    Pair Phone

Connects your device with a compatible phone equipped with Bluetooth technology.

    Sync

Allows you to transfer the data between your device and the Garmin ConnectTm app.

    Call Audio

Allows you to enable or disable call audio on your watch.

  • Yeah it’s cool. I will turn it off and check. Nothing else left anyway.
not much I can do here. 3 same watches does exactly same thing. Unless my body creates some sort of electric field and discharging it faster than anyone else on the planet Face palm tone1‍♂️

    thanks for trying

yes my Bluetooth notification are basically fully disabled including the connection status. Only calls alarms are on

  • It is really weird.  And it cannot be your watches being defective.  Maybe it's the phone?  Bluetooth off will help with figuring that out.  Too bad there isn't some diagnostic that shows where the battery drain is coming from.

  • Yeah I was hoping for this to be honest. That it can be checked what is draining it. But no I had some silly replies from garmin asking me if my AOD is off 7 times after I answered it is 6 times before. Complete waste of time their support is sadly.

  • Bluetooth notification are basically fully disabled

So it's already off?  Then you've got no connection at all to your phone?  Did you just set it that way, or has it been that way all along?

  • No sorry

it’s connected , but I have all notifications always off other than calls and I have Connection status notifications to off too.
so all it’s using Bluetooth for is Calls notifying and I guess transferring my activity info and sleep track

  • You should turn bluetooth off completely to test this.  Maybe there's a bluetooth issue between the watch and the phone.  Maybe you'll be able to notice the drain is less even after a few hours.

  • Watch fully charged Sunday evening. Wednesday evening I’m at 6% left with one 1h walk activity …

Watch battery says 6% ~ 15h left … but still looses 1% every hour … how bizarre that is

Just turned off Bluetooth connection and charging it now and will see what happens tomorrow but may end up returning them all altogether.

    Seriously fed up now.
