I am wondering if anyone has tried the nylon band that Garmin sells for the 3S (18 mm) ? if so what do you think about it? Other than the rediculusly high price?

I am using it on regular venu 3 since October. It holds up very well, you can see it is a quality product.
Only downside is the price as you mentioned but I am happy with it overall.

this is the one I am using for clarification.
I have this band too, on my Venu 3. It's the most comfortable band I've used, but I don't care for the look. The band loops around the plastic connectors that hold the pins so it never lies flat where it connects to the watch. If you don't mind that, you aren't likely to find a more comfortable watch band.
I really like this one (also for the Venu 3). No plastic for the pins

That's a nice one but I'm not sure it'll work on a Venu. Fenix seems to have a thicker, more sturdy pin to wrap the band around. The Venus are more like a traditional watch with thinner, less sturdy pins.
I am using it on my Venu 3 . I also have one on my 2 plus.. different model that is narrower but the same brand.
Really! I'd be interested to see a pic if you don't mind taking one. Specifically, where the band wraps around the pin.
It works great, looks great, and is super comfortable
It does not come with lugs but I just used the ones that were in the band that came with the watch
