Its not 100% inreach dependent. You need to install garmin messenger app to your phone and add messenger glance on your watch apps

I can't find Messenger on my Venu 3
go to apps tab, scroll all the way to bottom, either click edit and add or click to 3-dot and you will see there.watch sw should be updated to 10.20 for messenger access.
Its not on the apps list, my software was update to 10.20 a few days
