Best earbuds venu3

Having trouble finding earbuds that work well with venu3. Tried Sony earbuds and a couple of soundcore. Very glitchy.
Phone not a priority. Mainly for music (Spotify) and podcasts from watch.

Sony WF-C700N buds work for me. Good sound and stable connectivity. Only issue is that if you use tunein radio on the phone and set "Music Providers" on the watch to "Phone" you can't hear voice prompts on the buds.

I find that support article funny, given the distances Bluetooth officially supports. Garmin is basically admitting that the Bluetooth on the watches is bad. A phone in a pocket, or carried anywhere other then out in the open will suffer the same connection issues. What is the solution Garmin suggests a lanyard around the neck to carry your phone?
