Connect IQ server connection error

I just bought a Venu 3 and am enjoying it, but I am having issues with the Connect IQ app.  For the first couple of days it seemed fine.  But now it just keeps returning a server connection wrror saying that it is having difficulties talking to the Garmin Connect server.  The Garmin Connect app is working fine, and both apps show that they are connected to the watch.  I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app, rebooted both the watch and the phone (Galaxy S22+), and toggled off my VPN.  No dice.  I’d love to check out some new watch faces, but can’t get great Connect IQ app to work.
